Market Day Trading is a unique trading system created by John and Robert Heffernan that integrates three stand alone trading systems into one. Whether you are a day trader, long term trader or a hedger this system fits your needs. The three systems are: Value Range Trading, Pivot Trading (LASB), and Market Momentum/Collar Trading. Each of these trading strategies can be used independently, but by combining all three together it creates the Synergy Trading System, known as Market Day Trading. Below is a quick summary of the systems and their functions.
Value Range Trading:
Value Range Trading is part of Market Profile™, a tool used to study a market’s price movement and the frequency of trade at a particular price. The value range of a market is where approximately 70% of the prior day’s trading took place. The price action of the previous trading day will help a trader plan for expected price movements of the current day.
Pivot Trading (LASB):
The LASB system is a daily pivot trading system that uses current market price and the pivot value based on the previous day’s trade. The system attempts to profit by capturing a portion of the day’s expected trading range relative to the pivot level while also providing risk and profit objective levels above and below the pivot level.
Market Momentum/Collar Trading:
The market momentum and collar levels are developed using our proprietary systems/algorithms. These levels are used to establish trend in a market and where that trend will be slowed or “collared” on a longer term basis. When a market moves through the momentum level it will tend to move towards, and be collared at the corresponding Market Collar level.
Synergy Trading
When levels from more than one system correlate in close price proximity, we consider this synergy. This synergy between systems is what we look for when making trading decisions. When synergy at a particular price exists the trader should place more importance on these levels, whether it is an entry/exit position, stop loss order, or profit objective. Market Day Trading provides price levels that assist users in establishing positions, defining risk, and setting exit points. A trader can use this information alone or along with his/her own tools and methods to establish a trading strategy that fits his/her own goals. Learn to develop a disciplined trading strategy and let Market Day Trading do the technical work for you.
